Psalms 57:8 Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I [myself] will awake early. Awake in Hebrew is the word OOR – it implies opening of eyes to wake but also means to lift up, to master something, to raise up or stir up.

In Acts 2:26 Peter was quoting David in Psalm 16:9 and he substituted “tongue” for “glory” Glory is a word with quite a few expressions in Hebrew
(1) Kabod – weight, heavy, figurative for splendour, honour, great quantity, numerous, majesty.
(2) Hadar – magnificence, ornament of splendour, beauty, excellence, grandeur, vigour, imposing form and appearance, authority and majesty.
(3) Tipharaw – beauty, bravery, comeliness

What can then be the connection between “tongue” and “glory”? Psalms 19:1-3 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. (There is) no speech nor language, [where] their voice is not heard.
